Joann Matson is a Dyslexia Specialist and the owner of Synergy Learning Center of the Mid-Willamette Valley. Joann received her B.A. in Management & Leadership from George Fox University, her Master's level training in Identifying and Remediating Dyslexia with Susan Barton through the University of San Diego, and is a Certified Tutor in the Orton-Gillingham based Barton Reading and Spelling System. She is a founding member of the Salem Chapter of Decoding Dyslexia Oregon and a professional-level member of the International Dyslexia Association.

Joann home educates her bright and creative teen, diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. She is also dyslexic and has a genuine passion for empowering others find success through the information, support and community found at the Synergy Learning Center.
