Deanna Stollar resides in Springfield, Oregon with her family. Deanna and her husband Terry, have been homeschooling their four children, twenty-one years now. Deanna has spoken at numerous conventions in California, Oregon, and Idaho. Along with Terry, she has coached extensively in the HSLDA/NCFCA league since its inception in 1997. Deanna's writings were recently featured in A Cup of Comfort for New Mothers and A Cup of Comfort for Horse Lovers.. She authored two books on teaching and coaching debate, written for first time parent/coaches, It Takes a Parent...A Teaching Guide for the First Time Parent/Coach and also Coaching Policy Debate...Transitioning from a Debate Class to a Debate Club. Chris (26 years old), their first homeschool graduate, graduated from Gutenberg College and earned his masters in Journalism. Ryan, 24 years old and also a Gutenberg College graduate, earned his masters degree in Eastern Classics. Jackie (21) is a senior at Gutenberg College. And Garrett is their precocious 13 year-old caboose. She brings years of experience in homeschooling, inspiration, and encouragement for moms to assess well what they are trying to accomplish.
