John Mayner is very familiar with homeschooling; having helped his wife of 31 years, Melody, homeschool both their sons through high school. As well as getting his bachelors in Biblical Education and a Master of Divinity degree, John professionally served in the Air Force for 27 years before retiring in 2003. Throughout his career he worked with students and counseled them with regards to planning for college and/or careers, study habits while in school, and things to consider when making a choice as to what college to attend. Since that time he has been a pastor and most recently, the Director of Admissions at Multnomah University. Although he has stepped down from that role, he is still actively working to help students with their college and/or career choices.
